Green To My Blue

I know the conversation lately has gotten rusty, that’s on me

Been talking more to my guitar than to you while finding me

But tonight, me and my guitar, are needing you to know

That you are still

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

In spring you were the lushest grass where the frisbee fell beneath my sky

Blue thistles dancing on the hills trying to play in the windy sunshine

In summer our colors crashed on the sands like reckless waves aligned

The seagulls cried

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

Now in Autumn, you’re the warmest moss

Feeding my roots when I’m feeling blue

You hold me tight and we’ll be all right

And somedays we still feel brand new

In winter, you’ll be evergreen, and my lights’ll still shine for you

Cause you will always be

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

And I don’t know where I’ll be when the waves grow luminesce

And I don’t know where I’ll be when I take my final rest

But if my wildest dreams come true, I’ll still be crashing next to you

And still, you will be

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

The green to my blue

Still, you will be

The green to my blue
