Take Me To A Place

It’s morning again and I’m trying to pretend
That this room isn’t strange as can be
But this house is just cold in its soul, it’s not home to me
I dig with frustration to find my foundation
Still I float aimlessly
I’ll open these doors and fly to a place I am free

Take me to a place where I belong
Take me to a place where I am strong
I’m lost and so tired of trying
You know that I’m steering all wrong
So, take me to a place where I am home

I’ve been stalling, a ghost in a haunt I don’t know
Scared to move scared to find better days
But I’m breathing, not dead, I can dream, I can grow, I can go
Those buckets of paint never covered
The emptiness lurking round here
I’ll roam free of these walls before my whole soul disappears

I remember that girl without scars who trusted herself and the stars
I can hear her so clearly, she’s calling me, wants me to leave
“Come now be fearless,“ she’s calling me, wants me to live
Last night I escaped to the roof and I saw the same moon that I saw long ago
It was beckoning me to a place that I don’t even know

Take me to a place where I belong
Take me to a place where I am strong
I’m lost and so tired of trying
You know that I’m steering all wrong
So take me to a place where I am home
